Happy millionth, Wikipedia…

More
than a million people are creating, correcting and debating articles on the world’s
largest reference site, Wikipedia. This week the millionth article created was about a suburban train station in Scotland (see it  here), which begins:

Jordanhill Railway Station is a suburban railway station in the Jordanhill area on the west side of Glasgow, Scotland. The station (code "JOR"), which is governed by Transport Scotland and managed by First ScotRail, lies on the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line.[1] It is located [2]Jordanhill Campus of the University of Strathclyde and the Jordanhill School and sits atop Crow Road, an important western thoroughfare in Glasgow and the main route to the Clyde Tunnel. The station is five stops and eleven minutes journey time from Central Glasgow.

Fascinating stuff…

…which matters to someone somewhere, and in a way reflects how far and deep the amazing service that is Wikipedia has spread.
