Next week several people will be trecking across the Atlantic for the XPRL meeting. It is the first time so many people have made such a big effort (you too are invited, of course).
Our industry now has to both embrace Social Media and the technologies that underpin it.Tom foolery has its place but right now the key is grabbing the space that is laid out for us by people like Martin Sorrell.
If he thinks that the CIPR is not serious because of these games the game is up.

I’m not sure I can make it across the Atlantic next week, but I would be very interested to hear all about the meeting.
Now is the time for our industry to embrace social media – I agree completely and am about to post some more thoughts on that in a moment.
