Call me anal but the song lyrics don’t make sense. She says: “I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair.”
Didn’t punk rockers wear 18 holer Doctor Martins, have piercings in every known body part, head butt one another at music gigs and scream anarchy?
Did Sid Vicious wear flowers in his hair? Surely she means she wishes she was a hippy?

She wants to be a feminie punk rocker, she has her own style, good for her. I read this story in the Cambridge Evening News as a local company did the viral networking, it was incredibly successful. Time will tell whether she has had her 15 mins of fame.
I have been asked to publish a book via a blog and shall give it a go. Do you have any tips? The author has already published 11 books, some were highly acclaimed, but she wants to try this route and hopes to attract a publisher via her blog.
P.S. I always enjoy reading your column in PR Business. Because I blog, it’s always the first column I turn to.

With regards to publishing books – there are quite a few people who have developed books partly on blogs and published first drafts of chapters and ideas on their blogs, encouraging people to give their thoughts and counterpoint to what they’ve written.
Naked Conversations – http://redcouch.typepad.com/ ) – and The Long Tail – http://www.thelongtail.com/the_long_tail/ – are two which spring immediately to mind. The former has already become a book, as it were, while The Long Tail describes itself as a “public diary on its way to a book” and will be published next month.
