When I’m talking about the big picture media revolution that the Web is
causing, I often start with the changes in the means of production and
distribution of media.
- Personal publishing platform and distribution (blog with RSS) – free / £80 per year for bells and whistles from Typepad.
- Home-made radio programmes (podcast) – as above using Audacity to edit your audio.
- Your own TV show – a little bit more depending on your video capture / editing equipment, but now…
…Steve Rubel points to a new service called Vlog It! which costs just $49 (under £30). The service’s web site claims:
All the techie details like video compression, file transfer and
thumbnail creation are handled behind the scenes by Vlog It.
