BR blog: Pharma companies yearn for direct communication

I’ve posted some thoughts about the news that Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Novartis and Procter & Gamble have plans to launch a Pharma TV station on my Brand Republic blog.

Gist of it is that:

A TV channel would not be that useful in itself. I suspect this lobbying has more to do with setting precedent and breaking some of the highly restrictive regulations around marketing and communications.

Good news is that you can now subscribe to the blog there via RSS, although I’m afraid you will still need to go through a free subscription sign up with I know is counter to many people’s creed.
