Sales of The Sun at 1974 levels

Another easy to recount illustration of just how serious the decline in newspaper circulations is: only the FT managed not to sell fewer copies than last year. Even the relaunch of the Guardian in its very cool Berliner format wasn’t enough to do more than slow the rate of reader loss.

The Guardian reports that sales of The Sun, the best-selling newspaper in the UK have fallen to their 1974 levels: just over 3.1 million copies a day.
