Become a citizen reporter for UK’s first online political TV channel

18 Doughty Street (see previous post) is asking people to apply to become citizen reporters – they’ll supply you with the tool of the trade too:

18 Doughty Street has 100 camcorders to give away.  We want to give them to people with strong views and first hand knowledge of a pressing problem:

  • We want doctors to report regularly on their experience of the NHS…
  • Ex-servicemen to talk about overstretch in the armed forces…
  • Residents of a crime-ridden estate to send us reports on the failure of ‘the system’ to keep them safe…
  • Trade unionists to talk about competition from emerging economies…

We’re not just seeking reporters from Britain.  Are you an Israeli who is sick and tired of the BBC’s coverage of your country?  Are you a Muscovite who wants to report on living inside Putin’s ‘democracy’?  Do you work in Brussels and have stories to tell about the EU bureaucracy?

Tempted?
