LabourHome launches with an article from Guy Fawkes

Labourhome

The new LabourHome – unashamedly inspired by ConservativeHome – has launched and features an early article by Guido Fawkes, the blogger who leaked the story of the launch a few days back.

Mr Fawkes gives the budding community some stark analysis and advice on the need for them to make the new site fly e.g.:

  • Watch out for the race for the bottom debates
  •

  • Figure out how on earth you are going to be different from Comment is Free?
  •

  • Find some ways to make the community more valuable (ConservativeHome gives its readers early morning view of the papers through its true blue lens)

He also reminds the newbie blogistas that:

We’ll be watching you, every blog you make, every vote you take.  Welcome to the Goldfish Bowl…

Best of luck to LabourHome. I think it’s needed by that party. If it survives and finds its purpose there’ll be hope for the party’s communicators to learn to live without the control freakery that has become its trademark (and the trademark of all parties, New Labour just did it bigger and better than the rest).
