Some bright spark has taken two of the most fascinating and powerful social media services around – community-edited tech news site Digg and favourites/bookmark sharing service del.icio.us – and combined them: into Diggalicious…
As you can see – you can see what a web page has scored simultaneously both services’ users. If I was from California, or prone to affecting that State’s argot, I’d be saying "awesome" very slowly again and again while shaking my head in disbelief at its awesomeness.
Apart from making my head spin with the possibilities, it also makes me feel slightly worried. I spend a lot of time explaining to people how Digg and del.icio.us work and their significance as new forms of media. If I tell them that they’ve now mated I think I’ll just lose them.
I’ll keep it to myself for a while, I think.;-)
