Wouldn’t it be cool if each review was parsed by a natural language analyser to work out whether it contains overall positive or negative sentiment. This would help other users see at a glance whether the consensus is that something’s any good or not. A low-tech method would be to allow users to insert a keyword like {positive} or {negative} or perhaps even ratings on a scale.
Taking this a step further, the system could automatically find you friends with similar viewpoints who had rated the same things in a similar way, then when they review something new in a positive way, it’ll be highlighted for you or perhaps sent to you by email.
Loads of potential in this I reckon.
